MapMyCSV does not upload your CSV rows to a remapping server. That matters when files include client names, payroll identifiers, account numbers, or other data you would not send to a third-party converter.

A paid unlock unlocks download of the mapped file and related artifacts on this device. A mapping pack stores header names and source-to-target pairs only - not row contents - so you can reapply the same map without re-uploading data to anyone.

There is no product account. There is no cloud workspace holding past client files.

MapMyCSV does not connect to QuickBooks, your CRM, or payroll software, and it does not submit the import for you. You still run the destination import and read that system's import report.

When not to use it

Do not use MapMyCSV when the problem is not column structure.

• You need transaction matching, payout-to-bank reconciliation, or journal-entry proposals → that is a reconciliation workflow, not column remapping.
• You need the tool to invent missing controlled values, choose ledger accounts, or deduplicate customers → mapping cannot decide business truth.
• You only need a one-off find-and-replace on a tiny file and you already trust a spreadsheet → a mapper adds process you may not need.
• The destination requires an API sync, authenticated connector, or proprietary binary format → a CSV mapper will not replace that integration.
• You want aggressive "cleanup" that strips punctuation from references, coerces blanks to zero, or merges names without a rule → that creates import risk the mapper should not hide.

If headers already match and values are already typed correctly, skip the tool and import.
